Jurassic Park 4? Really?

Steven Spielberg seems to be taking some career tips from George Lucas: slowly, methodically and calmly he’s destroying anything good about his once sacred creations. Jurassic Park 4, you say? Great idea, Steve. No really, that’s… that’s going to be great.

Apparently the legend of Jurassic Park 4 has been kicking around Hollywood back alleys for years, but it’s only in recent weeks that any solid evidence as to its existence has surfaced. According to THR, the multiple Oscar winning director met with writer Mark Protosevich (Poseidon, I Am Legend) to develop a story for yet another installment in the franchise. Maybe this time, the dinosaurs will take on the Taliban? Or a street-smart Attenborough will challenge the the classically trained raptors to a dance-off, leading both teams to discover they aren’t so different after all?

Both Universal and Spielberg’s people were contacted for comment and while they didn’t deny the rumblings, they did stress that the meetings are simply “exploratory.” Oh Goddddddddddddddddd.

More on this as we get it, but at least we can rest in the knowledge that we’ve got a lovely 5th installment of Indiana Jones to look forward to. WHY, STEVE? WHY DO THIS?
